Carl is a comfortable, durable, 80s-inspired high-top sneaker with a wide range of models, covering everything from retro to modern. The upper is made from GRS-certified recycled PU leather, specially developed by ethletic for later use in the Circular Economy. It also stands out for its high wearing comfort and a memory effect that almost always guarantees a perfect fit.

The upper is made from a high-quality leather alternative with a particularly soft feel, high wearing comfort, and natural look. The material is durable, water-repellent, and GRS-certified, meaning it consists of 100% recycled components that are, in turn, recyclable. Additionally, the leather alternative has been re-tested by ethletic for critical elements and ingredients.

For exceptionally high durability, the natural rubber sole is processed with a slightly thicker seam than is customary with conventional manufacturers. The natural product is regranulable and can therefore be reused for the production of new soles.

All other materials such as laces, labels, and threads are Ökotex certified and can be recycled at the end of their life cycle.
