For our products, we exclusively use natural, renewable raw materials.

The organic cotton is Fairtrade and GOTS certified. No hazardous pesticides or insecticides are used in its cultivation. Mixed cropping ensures that there are no harmful effects on people or nature. Furthermore, organic farming prohibits the use of genetically modified seeds – and water consumption is reduced by around 90 percent.

Natural rubber comes from sustainably managed plantations in accordance with FSC guidelines. A rubber tree that provides latex for about 20 years is replaced by a seedling after its useful life, while the hard wood is used for purposes such as furniture production.

Our entire supply and production chain meets Fair Trade criteria. The Fairtrade Minimum Price helps cotton farmers cover the costs of sustainable production. As a result, farmers do not have to go into debt to pre-finance overpriced seeds, and can instead plan ahead and invest.

Thanks to the Fairtrade Premium, social projects and educational facilities can be funded – which is essential in the fight against exploitative child labor.

Ethletic works exclusively with audited partner companies that meet both strict Fairtrade standards and our own quality requirements. Our production facilities are distributed internationally and are regularly inspected and certified.

Our sneakers are primarily manufactured in Pakistan and Sri Lanka — two locations that share a long-standing partnership with Ethletic. In addition, production facilities are located in India, where Fairtrade-certified cotton is sourced.

All partner companies are certified according to Fairtrade standards. In concrete terms, this means fair wages, safe working conditions, and transparent treatment of people and resources. Together with the manufacturer Talon Sports in Pakistan, Ethletic has established the Talon Fair Trade Welfare Society – a committee that directly involves employees in the use of Fairtrade premiums, for example for healthcare, education, and social projects.

In addition to social standards, we also place great importance on ecological responsibility: the natural rubber for our soles comes from Sri Lanka and is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for sustainable forestry – a global first that Ethletic itself initiated.
