Ethletic transforms this classic into a pioneer in environmental sustainability: Available in many colors, the Fair Trainer Lo Cut leaves a minimal ecological footprint – but a maximum fashion statement. This is possible because the shoe is made from Fairtrade-certified organic cotton and natural rubber from sustainable forestry, thus containing mainly renewable raw materials and being almost plastic-free. Like our entire range, the Fair Trainer Lo Cut is produced under fair conditions and is 100 percent vegan.
The Fair Trainer is made from Fairtrade-certified organic, fair trade canvas twill cotton from small farmers. The sole is made from natural, FSC-certified rubber from sustainably managed plantations in Sri Lanka. Fairly produced in Pakistan. Ethletic products are exclusively made from resources from certified Fairtrade or FSC supply chains. The guiding Fairtrade organization ensures that premiums are received by participating producers and manufacturers every step of the way. Ethletic also actively supports its own Fairtrade projects in the local communities where our production facilities are located. Ethletic products are only made from sustainable resources. While the Fairtrade system ensures that producers and manufacturers receive their fair share today, sustainability means that agricultural areas retain their economic potential for future generations. Ethletic pays an additional premium of one US dollar per pair of sneakers sold to the Welfare Society of the workers employed in the production facilities. This money is managed independently and is primarily used for healthcare, pensions, or to support local education. Approximately 2% of the sales price is paid to FLO-CERT, the inspection and certification body for Fairtrade. This body monitors the standards for the production, purchase, and sale of Fairtrade products and has the authority to award the Fairtrade label if deemed appropriate.
